According to the “Act of equality 2010,” Employees deserve to grow their skills and abilities in a secure, encouraging, and inclusive workplace, regardless of their identity or history.

Because of nine grounds, including age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation, it is illegal to discriminate against employees. The Equality Act refers to these elements as "protected characteristics."

Making reasonable adjustments

When a worker is denied a promotion, fired, barred from social events, or subjected to differing terms and conditions because of one of the nine protected characteristics listed in the Equality Act, discrimination has taken place.

Employers are required by the Equality Act to offer reasonable accommodations so that a disabled employee can perform their job as effectively as possible. This might involve physically modifying their workplace to lessen the effects of their condition, or it could involve any other modifications the employee believes would improve their ability to do their job.

  2. Good article to read. Equal employment opportunity ( EEO) is the concept that all individual , regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, race, age, socioeconomic status, religion, disability, etc. will be fairly considered for job benefits.
